I am Professor Nicholas Lodeman, and i will be your teacher!
Here in the class, we will learn all about our non-magic ally's and how they are not so different from you or I! We will learn how they use something called "Electricity" and how the manage to function on a daily basis without the use of magic! The course can be quite fun too, we get to learn how objects like "Remote Controls" and "Air Conditioning" works! At the library, you will pick up your copies of "Home Life and Social Habits of British Muggles: Fourth Edition" written by Wilhelm Wigworthy for your weekly assignments. I hope you will enjoy the course!
Rules of The Classroom
1. We are a Muggle Studies, not Potions or Herbology, so do not do your homework from your other classes. One offense will result in a verbal warning from me. Second will result in point deduction and a word with your House Head. Third and further results will result in detention, house point deductions and a word with your house head.
2. In Muggle Studies, I would appreciate it if you would stow all magical items away in your robe, for i will provide "Pencils" and non magic paper, and we will take note that way. You may wish to transfer over your notes if you would like, but do not enchant the items i have provided. Failure to do so would involve punishment, much like the ones in Rule One
3. If you have any "Negative Opinions" about muggles, you must leave all of your grudges and biased thoughts against all things about muggles at the door. This is an open class room and i will not tolerate any sort of bigotry or ignorance towards our non-magic ally's! This rule will be heavily enforced, and first offenses will have points deducted and they will write a short, yet detailed paragraph on any muggle object i choose for you.

I honestly expected more than a few papers to be turned in, BUT ONE?!? I see some of you so enthusiastic about the class and i give you one of the funnest assignments i can give and yet i only get one paper back.
It really wasnt that tough and i reckon that some of you would have really enjoyed the assignment.
The one person that did turn it in, and will receive full credit, will be Amberlyn of Ravenclaw, whom wrote about the television show, “A two and a half men” which is a popular program among muggles. So for that, 10 points to ravenclaw
I find it very ironic that muggles consider watching television lazy, for i think that some wizards and witch NOT watching television for their assignment to be lazy! If you do not fully appreciate the trouble i went through to get all of these televisions, as well as the permission to run them with stations! I would have expected this kind of work from a nimrod, but not from my students. I will deduct 30 points from Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin, due to laziness and their inability to complete a very simple homework. I do not give out tough assignments, but maybe i should, given the fact that i may need to whip some of you into shape.
Look, i care about all of my student, and i want to see you all become powerful and prosperous wizards. I am doing this for your own good.

Well, here we are, and i have an assignment for you all.
You may not enjoy it, it may seem to off suit you, and it seems to be illegal in some parts of the world. However, i feel like to truly understand muggles to their full extent, you must observe one of the inventions they have there.
Ladies and Gentlemen, i give you…
The television
Now, with this, muggles can watch these things called “Programs” Which are a compilation of images on this “screen” and people use it for many things on a daily basis. Some watch it for entertainment, some view it for the news, and sometimes, to watch “Movies” on them! Now, these use electricity, however, because of how much magic surrounds hogwarts, items that use electricity cannot be used to how they should. But with special permission from the headmistress, i have bewitched these televisions to work, but they are only on for a limited time. They are activated until Saturday evening.
Now for the activity: Your assignment is to watch at least one hour of these television programming, and you have many choices on what to watch, and i have preselected these “channels” so there is a little more freedom. The following channels have been selected:
CNN
BBC 1
MTV
CARTOON NETWORK
TELEMUNDO
DISCOVERY
COMEDY CENTRAL
AND FINALLY
HBO
So you may watch any of those “channels” and you can watch whatever whenever, up until saturday evening. You might enjoy some of it, or you might just want to throw the tv out the window. If you do decide to do that, i will take away 150 points for the damage, as well as special permission to acquire the item.
On a side note, in between programming, there are “Commercials” which are simple advertisements on the television, and they serve no other purpose. Do not pay attention to these, for i will not accept a report on commercials.

Hello again! Sorry if i have been away for a while, i’ve been caught up with both ministry and personal problems
Anyways, i have an interesting extra credit job for you guys, and it is worth 15 points for your house for each submission! I know its the weekend, and it might not be a good time to in give this, but it will be worth it, and it will be fun!
Your assignment is to give me a name of a muggle, whom is still alive, that helps influence the non-magic community today in any sort of way. It could be anyone, from anywhere and you have to give a reason why they would influence the muggles!
I understand that many of you have been very enthusiastic about this class, and it makes me very proud to come and teach you all! Dont worry, you will see me update the lesson plan more often now! Won’t that be exciting?
Oh, for the deadline, lets put it at tuesday, no latter.
This is a relatively easy task and i know you all can do it! Dont make me give ANY of you a T… i havent given any this semester, but i HAVE given them, and i WILL put it on a paper that seems fit…
